    Hello i would like to know how to turn my desktop pc into a server and use it wirelessly at the same time i.e it is using a wireless receiver to connect to the internet.

    indeed.. a server isnt just a server.. is it a web server ,mail server, file server etc... it can be any or all.. you need to be a bit more specific

    We still don't know what type of server you want, what it's for, and the stress. Web server? Gaming server? Mail server?

    Just use your current OS to share folders, if it is XP right click on the folder and properties.

    You will need to switch off simple sharing: Tools > Folder Options > View > Use Simple Sharing (Recommended).

    You could also partition your drive so that you have only windows on drive c and then share the root of drive x.
