  3. jQuery trojan?

Hello. There is a problem. Not for me, but for my sister's husband. He's got a website in which developers used jQuery and Avast (I've found that AVG does so as well) finds a Trojan. It's a false alarm, but that may cause users of the website to cancel the connection and so they won't be able to see the content. Anyone know how to fix it? I'm not a developer, I would simply use pure JavaScript, but I don't think they are going to do so.

Are you sure its the jquery.js file and not some other thing the devs added? Also, replace the js file with that off of jquery.com to make sure the source is unmodified from the jquery devs. I have never encountered this issue, but using jquery for sites, as well as viewing sites that use jquery.

I'm not sure if it's modified or not, but I believe they didn't.

Here is a list of files found as Trojans:
    pngfix.js
    flowplayer-3.1.2.min.js
    jquery-1.3.2.min.js
    thickbox.js

As you can see it's not just jQuery. It's definitely an anti-virus problem so I thought that it's probably gonna be fixed soon. The same problem was in Yahoo a few days ago and now with this JavaScript so I hope it gonna be fixed.

Have others complained about this "problem" or is it just this one anti-virus program? Perhaps it would be best to include a link to WOT or something to get users' confidence in your site up.

Can you give any more details about this issue? Perhaps we could give better suggestions then.
