Dunno about a time bomb virus.
But as for cookies, they can be invasive if they are not used correctly. They sometimes can be accessed from external sites then orignally set for, if they are not secure. But because of this, most cookies don't have any useful information in them. They can hold passwords, but they are encrypted and can't be decoded.

BTW, it's a browser bug if the cookie is sent to the incorrect site.

A timebomb virus is a virus that is set to do something horible (like format the hdd) on a specific date, or after a certain amount of files have been infected.
Well, at least that's what I think one is, anyway ;)

Reply With Quote Or maybe a timebomb virus is a virus that invokes that famous RPC Shutdown command in Windows and gives you like 1 minute to kill or save.

I hated that. I ended up disabling the Shutdown service. But then I found the file that was doing it, and killed it once and for all!!
That isn't a timebomb virus, but they might do that as well. But usually timebomb viruses will sit and wait, not letting you know that you have a virus, untill BOOOOM!!!!!!

yeah. i think that's the right answer...but still i'm not quite sure if it is the right one for sure...i think the time bomb virus was in windows 95 or soemthing.

It was a worm (Sassor or something) and it didn't work on Win95, because that doesn''t have shutdown. It did it on WinME, Win2000, WinXP, maybe WinNT, but not Win95.

one more question!
what is a purpose of running DUPLICATE hardware?
Reply With Quote What like 2 graphics cards using SLI or more than one hard drive?
Well you get more Hard drive space if you have 2 of them and you can have double the power if you have 2 graphics cards.
The four finger rule: There is no middle finger.
