Starting a new App Project

Hi,

My name is Timothy Wong. I am currently a senior at Fife High School. I have always been interested in studying computer science during college. I want to start a project to build an app for iPhone and android. I have always enjoyed using the apps like Instagram and Snapchat. I want to combine both of their features and create more. Right now I have very low knowledge of computer programming. I guess the reason I am posting this thread is to get help. It would be cool to create a team and start designing an app like that.
